Situated in the heart of the nation’s capital, the Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering at the University of Ottawa offers one of the most diverse programmes in the country.  Students can choose from a variety of streams including our core Process Engineering Option, our Engineering Management and Entrepreneurship Option, our Biomedical Engineering Option and our Environmental Engineering Option. We also offer dual degree programmes in Chemical Engineering/Computer Technology and Biochemistry/Chemical Engineering that simultaneous lead to two separate undergraduate degrees, offering our graduates even more employment alternatives.  Each of these options and programmes is available as a CO-OP degree (link to “CO-OP”) in which students gain valuable experience and earn money as part of their university studies.  And we offer all of this within the bilingual milieu characteristic of the University of Ottawa.

Our facilities are state-of-the-art.  Students enjoy access to the latest in computes and commercial-grade software, as well as one of the finest undergraduate laboratories around.  With over a million dollars in top notch experimental equipment and the latest in data acquisition and computer control systems at their disposal, students leave our programme with industrial-strength experience under their belts.
