Dr. Tuncer Oren of The School of EECS (formerly SITE) Inducted into SCS Modeling & Simulation Hall

imageThe Modeling and Simulation Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding visionary leadership and dedication to “increasing the effectiveness and broadening the application of simulation.” Inductees’ thoughts, words and energies have significantly impacted the use of simulation not only in the field, but also throughout the world.

Professor Emeritus Tuncer Oren of the School of EECS (formerly SITE) received 2011 “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Society for Modeling & Simulation International, and has been inducted into the SCS Modeling & Simulation Hall of Fame.

Professor Oren had received the “Distinguished Service Award” in 2006 and “Distinguished Professional Award” in 2003 from the same learned society. SCS is the premier technical Society dedicated to advancing the use of modeling & simulation to solve real-world problems; devoted to the advancement of simulation and allied computer arts in all fields; and committed to facilitating communication among professionals in the field of simulation.
