IEEE University of Ottawa Student Branch has been selected for the Outstanding Student Award
November 03, 2010
Every year at its Annual General Meeting, the IEEE Ottawa Section presents awards to deserving student branch within the IEEE Ottawa Section. The purpose of this award is to recognize an active Student Branch which has shown outstanding dedication in organizing many events (technical/educational/social meetings, seminars, workshops), and in increasing branch membership.
Selection of the winner is based on merit of initiated member activities and whether the branch was last year’s recipient of the award. The University of Ottawa had received the award last year; but because this branch was more present and active in the section than the runner ups, an exception was made, so the award was given for a second year in a row
