Civil undergraduate and graduate students win awards at the 2011 CSCE Conference.

This year’s award winners were: Seth Logan (MASc student), Zaid Al-Sadoon (PhD student), Salem, A. Nader, M. Zaidi, M. Noor, A. Nott and R. Hamza.  The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering hosts this annual conference which this year took place in Ottawa.

2nd International Engineering Mechanics and Materials Specialty Conference

Zaid Al-Sadoon won first prize for the paper: Seismic Retrofitting of Non-Ductile Reinforced Concrete Moment Resisting Frame Structures. The authors were: Zaid Al-Sadoon, Murat Saatcioglu, and Dan Palermo

20th Canadian Hydrotechnical Conference


Seth Logan won first prize for the paper: Morphological and Numerical Modeling of a Highly Dynamic Tidal Inlet at Shippagan Gully, New Brunswick, The authors for this paper were: Seth Logan, Ioan Nistor, Andrew Cornett, and Ousmane Seidou

2011 CSCE Conference
