Graduate studies in Civil and Environmental Engineering
Graduate studies give the opportunity to those with a bachelor degree in civil engineering or equivalent to deepen their expertise through advanced coursework (Mater of Engineering stream) or a combination of coursework and research (Master of Applied Sciences stream, Philospphiae Doctor). Having a Master degree greatly increase employability while a Ph.D prepares the students for a career in Academia and highly skilled positions industrial companies.
Graduate studies in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering are carried out through two joint institutes between the University of Ottawa and Carleton University,the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Civil Engineering and the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Environmental Engineering.
