Biography:
Dr. Naumoski is Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa, and seismic/blast engineering specialist in Public Works and Government Services Canada. He has worked on a number of research projects related to the improvement of the seismic resistant design of buildings and highway bridges. One of the most important projects is the research on the 13 km long Confederation Bridge in eastern Canada. Dr. Naumoski has conducted comprehensive investigations on the dynamic performance of the bridge under seismic, wind, and traffic loading. In addition to the research in earthquake engineering, Dr. Naumoski conducts research on the protection of structures from blast loads and progressive collapse.
Dr. Naumoski has published a number of research papers in referred journal and conference proceedings on the performance of buildings and bridges under seismic loading. He is a reviewer of several journals on structural and earthquake engineering. Dr. Naumoski was a member of the Seismic Hazard Working Group established for the development of the seismic design parameters for the National Building Code of Canada, and a member of the Standing Committee on Research of the Canadian Association of Earthquake Engineering. He is teaching the graduate courses on Bridge Design, and the Design of Structures for Blast Loads.
