Printing
How do I print?
To print in the laboratories, print as you would at any computer. You’ll usually find the Print command under the File menu.
Where do I pick up my printouts?
In B Block, you can choose between two printers. Follow these steps:
Insert your copy card. You will be asked for your login name.
Enter the login name you used on the computer you printed from.
Select the jobs you want to print, and you’re done.
WARNING: Make sure that the screen on the printer says READY before printing.
If both printers in CBY are out of order, you can pick up printouts at any other print station on campus because all printers are interconnected.
What printer do I chose?
Your print menu lists three printers. You should use the default printer 99 percent of the time. The other two printers are for special cases.
The first special-case printer is the XEROX Phaser 1235PS, a color laser printer in room 140 of Montpetit Hall. The second special-case printer is a Lexmark T622 PS, a postscript driver for the same printer as the default. Postscript drivers are needed sometimes when you want to print a Postscript document.
Where do I get a copy card?
You can pick up your copy card by the photocopiers in the basement in CBY. A card costs $2. To print documents and make photocopies, however, you must add money to the card.
How can I save money?
The printer drivers allow you to print two or four pages per printed page, therefore reducing the total cost. To use this technique, once you select File >> Print in the application and the Print box appears, click on Properties. The following form should appear:

Inside the red circle, change the number of pages per page.
Where is the color printer?
At the moment, the campus has only one color printer. It’s in the computer lab (room 140) of Montpetit Hall.
